LogoLink at the Oslo Governance Forum - OGF

10/26/2011

The Oslo Governance Forum - OGF took place in Olso, Norway, on 3-5 October 2011. It was organized by the UNDP’s Democratic Governance Group in collaboration with United Nations Democracy Fund (UNDEF), ActionAid, ACT Alliance, World Bank Institute and PRIA Global Partnership.

The main objectives of the OGF were to recognize innovation and leadership in the south in using assessments to promote social accountability; to create a network of likeminded practitioners; and to bridge the 'supply and demand' of assessment initiatives that are making linkages between users of assessments, especially between the community level and the producers of assessments.

LogoLink members from PRIA (India), Instituto Polis (Brazil) and IDS (UK), actively participated in the event. Rajesh Tandon and Kaustuv Bandyopadhyay, from PRIA, not only were co-organizer of the forum, but also spoke at the event. Sílvio Caccia Bava, from Instituto Polis and LogoLink’s International Director, and Alex Shankland, from IDS, were also a speakers at the conference.
