From 26 to 28 November 2003, Instituto PÓLIS in São
Paulo, Brazil, LogoLink partner in Latin America, hosted a meeting of
Latin American organizations that carry out activities to promote capacity
building around local empowerment.
The meeting was sponsored by REPPOL/CEAAL. The REPPOL
- Network for Popular Education and Local Empowerment - is one of the
thematic networks that compose CEAAL - Latin American Council of Adult
Education.
In this event, organized with support from Fondos Catalanes
de España, 25 capacity building initiatives from 14 different Latin
American countries were presented to show the wide variety of educational
formats and to discuss the possibility of building a space in Latin America
where capacity building in local empowerment can be developed.
