In December 2002, a meeting was called by the
Centre for Basic Research (CBR), LogoLink regional partner in East Africa,
to form a reference group that includes civil society organisations working
on issues of citizen participation in local governance. The stated objective
of the Reference Group is to steer the core operations of LogoLink East
Africa.
The reference group comprises a wide range of
organisations, including:
the Centre for Basic Research (CBR),
Foundation for Human Rights Initiative (FHRI),
National Union for Disabled Persons in Uganda
(NUDIPU),
Uganda Debt Network (UDN),
Agency for Cooperation and Research on Development
(ACORD),
Community Development Research Network (CDRN),
Uganda Womens Network (UWONET),
Development Network Of Indigenous Voluntary
Associations (DENIVA)
