Empirical survey of selected advocacy institutions in Uganda

The Centre for Basic Research (CBR) launched a brief survey of good governance advocacy organisations with a stake in the outcome of decentralization. This was carried out in response to the increasing citizen concern over lack of transparency and accountability and poor leadership in many areas of local government.

As part of the survey, two CBR representatives interviewed senior managers in eight organisations, who provided a brief assessment of experiences in implementing decentralization reforms in Uganda.
