These documents are the result of a systematic research
project carried out by LogoLink in 15 countries to investigate whether
and how do legislation and policy-making provide new opportunities for
citizen participation in different contexts.
The common thread among these reports is that they
all focus on the same set of questions: are legal frameworks sufficient
to enable citizen participation? Which aspects and elements of these frameworks
contribute to better engagement of citizens in local governance processes?
The reports provide an overview of the legal
frameworks in each country and regional contexts, including historical
background and legal frameworks at the constitutional, national and local
levels.
